Bad Typography- Choose Now

A little late to put this project up!

This project sprang from Nigel’s love of extremely bad typography and shop signage. Following a talk on this passion of his the brief was given- “explore bad type. Seek it out. Categorize it and then devise a strategy or campaign”. Other key elements were recognition, participation and the giving of awards.

This project was with Helen Chesner, Joe Mania and Joel Baker. Our response started with games to get people involved and include the participation element on the brief. Making campaign t-shirts was just one part of the fun. Dressed up in partaay gear we filmed interviews and award giving to shops guilty of bad signage and typography. With this film and Joel’s techie wisdom we made an interactive game online which allows you to guess from possible answers, what happens next. We called this game ‘Choose Now’
